What We Inherit is a 3-channel video installation which questions and embraces superstitions the artist has grown up believing in. Superstitions are beliefs or even rules that are often practiced as a way to prevent bad events from happening. Using crows as a starting point into this exploration, this work looks at our interpersonal relationships and how superstitions exist as a form of care.
Several superstitious objects are chosen to be exhibited alongside What We Inherit, like pineapples which bring fortune into a new home, lucky cat, auspicious letter, and hanging garlic (for wealth)
