the dust never settles is a photo series exploring the frustration and helplessness when one feels like their body has failed. The journey to accepting a life of chronic conditions is filled with these little bubbles of lament and fatigue. These images were taken on film which was then souped in liquids to create visual effects that are out of my control. It reflects my unselfconscious feelings. This work seeks to navigate these emotions, and to reconcile this tense relationship between the body and the self.
